Why Non-surgical blepharoplasty?
At Cambridge Contour Clinic, we understand that the skin around the eyes is one of the first areas to show signs of ageing: hooded lids, fine lines, under‑eye bags and loose skin can subtly change your appearance and how you feel. We offer a refined, minimally invasive alternative to traditional eyelid surgery using advanced micro‑plasma treatment to tighten and rejuvenate the skin around the eyes gently.
This treatment, using microplasma technology, is an ideal stepping‑stone for clients wanting younger-looking eyes but would prefer to avoid, or are not yet ready for, full surgical blepharoplasty.
Our micro-plasma devices are also suitable for use in the operating room and coagulation cautery, so you can rest assured that the best technology is in use.
Our Process
1
Consultation
- We begin with a detailed visual assessment of your concern and discuss your desired outcome.
- You'll receive a full explanation of your treatment options, expected outcomes, and any risks - with supporting images or video examples.
- You'll leave fully informed and confident before making your decision.
2
Quote & Plan
- You'll be given a fixed, transparent quote before treatment begins - no surprises.
- For multi-session procedures (or to include phototherapy aftercare), you'll know the exact cost per visit.
3
Treatment Session
- We carry out our Micro-plasma treatment to an extremely accurate target, without damage to the surrounding or deeper structures of the skin. The treatment itself is safe, accurate and decisive.
- Treatment times vary between 120 and 150 minutes. We allocate extra time so you never feel rushed, and up to 60 minutes of this is to ensure your anaesthetic has taken full effect.
- You can return to normal activity straight away; however, in the case of treating the upper eyelid area, be aware that swelling may occur, and therefore, you may wish to consider a companion to assist you with your travel.
4
Aftercare & Healing
- All our treatments here at Cambridge Contour Clinic conclude with personalised aftercare advice, tools and products specific to the treatment received. This will aid you in getting the absolute most out of any treatment given, and allow you to fully reap the benefits in the days/weeks to follow.
- You can expect extreme swelling of the treated upper or lower eyelid for 0-3 days, which is worse in the morning and evenings.
- Typically, the skin heals on a superficial level within 4-6 weeks, with the healing microscabs falling away within 5-10 days.
- Expect mild redness, flaking or itching that settles quickly as healthy skin renews with skin tone and texture typically normalising within 12 weeks, with continued improvement up to 24 weeks.
5
Follow-Up & Results
- A complimentary review at 4 weeks ensures the area has healed as expected.
- Full results are visible 4-5 months after treatment.
- Depending on your desired outcome, multiple treatments may be required.
- Typically, no more than four treatments can be carried out, spaced 4-12 weeks apart.
- Results of treatment can last approximately 2- 5 years, depending on the individual.

What Is Nonsurgical Blepharoplasty & How Does It Work?
Our nonsurgical blepharoplasty treatment uses our specialist micro-plasma device, offering a safe, minimally invasive and effective treatment.
It utilises micro-plasma technology, which involves the ionisation of gases present between the device and tissue to be treated, to create a small electrical beam called a plasma arc. This arc vaporises (causes sublimation - the process of turning a solid straight into a gas, transferring no heat to surrounding tissues) the superficial layers of the skin and is performed to an extremely accurate target, without damage to the surrounding or deeper structures of the skin.
These micro‑traumas trigger collagen remodelling and skin contraction, immediately tightening and lifting effect to the area and promoting skin rejuvenation, all without the need for incisions, stitches or general anaesthesia.

Nonsurgical Blepharoplasty Frequently Asked Questions
Who is suitable?
Most adults who wish to address under‑eye skin laxity, fine lines or mild bags without needles or major downtime. We'll confirm at the consultation.
How long will the results last?
Results of treatment can last approximately 2-5 years, depending on the individual. It's important to remember: ageing continues, and every individual's outcome will differ.
Is it painful?
The area will be anaesthetised with a topical/local anaesthetic and should not be painful.
Is there downtime? Will people know I’ve had something done?
The downtime is significantly less than that of a surgical eyelid lift, but you will have some visible signs for a short period. Careful aftercare helps minimise visibility.
Will this remove under‑eye fat bags or reposition sagging muscle/fat?
No, this treatment focuses primarily on skin tightening and reducing excess superficial skin.
Will it leave a scar?
There is a low risk if aftercare advice is followed.
When can I wear makeup after treatment?
In most cases, you should avoid heavy makeup over the treated area for the first few days.
Can I resume normal activities after treatment?
You will experience swelling around the eye area, but you may return to light activities soon after treatment - our specialists will advise further during your consultation.
