How does the treatment work?
The treatment is skillfully administered to chosen treatment areas, and the targeted muscle's movement is relaxed - not switched off - which means you retain natural expression, while visible lines soften.
Temporarily relaxing the muscles so they cannot contract can help smooth out lines in the following areas. Revealing a more youthful, rested appearance:
- Forehead Lines
- Glabella/Frown Lines
- Crow's Feet
- Nasial/Bunny lines
- Brow Lift
- Gummy Smile
- Nefertiti (Neck lift)
This same treatment can also be used to treat Bruxism (Jaw) and Hyperhidrosis (excessive sweating). Please see our separate service pages and FAQs for more specific information.
Anti-Wrinkle Injections Frequently Asked Questions
Is the treatment painful?
Discomfort is minimal for most people. After the treatment, some mild redness/bruising is possible but resolves quickly.
Will I lose my expressions or look "frozen"?
No. We tailor treatment and placement so you retain natural facial expressions whilst softening fine lines and wrinkles.
How long will the effect last?
Most clients see results lasting approximately 3–4 months. Some individuals maintain longer results depending on various lifestyle factors.
What happens after that?
When the treatment wears off gradually, muscle movement returns. We'll help you schedule a safe and comfortable repeat treatment if you wish.
Are there any side effects or risks?
As with any treatment, there are some risks. Our experienced practitioners will advise you on these during your consultation.
Am I suitable for treatment?
Factors such as pregnancy or breastfeeding, blood transmissible diseases, muscular disorders and allergies are some, but not all, factors that need to be assessed for suitability. Our specialists will guide you through any contraindications during your consultation. You must also be over the age of 18.
