When you notice a new mole or skin lesion, something has changed, or you simply feel uncertain, let us help you find clarity.

During your Diagnosis consultation:

We gather your relevant skin history, such as family history, sun exposure and more.
Precise imaging of the lesion is taken using dermatoscopy - a skin examination technique used by the NHS and GP Practices.
Our dermatoscope allows us to visualise your lesion(s) through the entire polarisation range. Allowing us to explore features within pigmented, vascular or inflammatory lesions, or to visualise bacterial and fungal infections on skin, nail, or mucosa.

During this consultation, your specialist will also

Check potential treatment options.
Check that you are able to have said treatment options (i.e that there are no contraindications)
Address necessary precare & aftercare.
Check that you are happy with any potential risks.

Mole Diagnosis Frequently Asked Questions

Is a dermatoscope really necessary?

Yes. It allows full visualisation of the lesion's deeper structure that is not visible to the naked eye, improving diagnostic accuracy.

Does this mean I must have the lesion removed?

If the lesion(s) appear benign, the choice lies with you after our discussion. If the lesion(s) need monitoring or require referral for biopsy, you will be advised as such.

How long will the diagnosis take?

Your appointment will take up to 30 minutes. You will receive your dermatology report within 48hours.

Can I have treatment at the same time as my diagnosis consultation?

No. Before treatment at Cambridge Contour Clinic can go ahead, the lesion needs to be deemed benign. It can take up to 48hours to complete a diagnosis report.

Follow-Up & Results

Our Diagnosis service removes any unilateral decision-making with an assessment being made by three suitably insured and registered professionals, at least one of them being a dermatologist.

Together, a consensus as to whether the lesion appears benign, needs monitoring, or requires referral for biopsy is reached by reviewing the Dermotascopy findings, written assessment and visual supporting documents, all stored securely on site.
You will receive a detailed dermatologist report within 48 hours, including information about your lesion and clear next‑step recommendations.

This means you avoid waiting longer than necessary, and you make a fully informed decision about your next steps - and if non-surgical removal is one of them, we will also provide you with your options in a fixed, transparent quote.

After a thorough consultation where we established that cryotherapy would not be appropriate for me, Bradley did an excellent job at removing my lesions using microplasma technology. He provided lots of aftercare advice and responded swiftly to offer guidance and reassurance when I contacted him with some concerns about how one of the lesions was healing (it was fine in the end!). My procedure was not cheap but was more affordable than it would have been at other clinics with similar credentials and I’d say that the pricing structure at CCC is a lot fairer than I have seen elsewhere.

Bradley explained the pros & the cons first then went on to talk about another treatment that was a lot safer and would last a lot longer , micro plasma , a lot less invasive. Visited Bradley as i had genital warts for a couple of years, as i was embarrassed to see anyone for treatment, tried online treatments but they were ineffective.Bradley was very good at making me relaxed and able to discuss the warts, he reasssured me and give great detail and information about warts. The treatment was quick and effective, very slight discomfort was all i felt for a short time. Treatment worked, now all warts gone and i feel so much better in myself, wish i had done it sooner. The lady on reception was very good aswell friendly and reasssuring, kept me update date in my visits.Thank you
